Students should have passed their 10+2 to be considered for admission by colleges.
A CGPA of over 8.5 is required. Top colleges will demand an even higher CGPA.
13 years of educational experience is required. This includes 12 years of schooling and typically one year of preparation before you apply to college.
Students are expected to have a high level of German proficiency. Certificates up to B2 and C1 are needed. The reason for this is that the language of instruction in most German institutions is German. Some private institutes also offer their courses in English, for which you need a 90-100 score in TOEFL or a 6.5-7 band score in IELTS.
It is compulsory to produce a Letter of Recommendation from your school teachers.
Write a good Statement of Purpose outlining your educational experience and other details so that the institutes can know you better.
The language of instruction for most undergraduate programs in Germany is German. International students need to produce a certificate of proficiency which is B2 or C1 in order to be considered eligible and to understand their course. Some private universities also offer courses in English for which you need to appear for TOEFL (90-100) or IELTS (6.5-7 band score).
There are two sessions each year - winter and summer. You need to keep in mind the deadlines for each application.
Winter session - The deadline for the winter session is 15 July.
Summer session - The deadline for the summer session is 15 January.
